About Virtual Doorman

In 2000, we launched an entirely new industry when we introduced the first remote doorman system which revolutionized the real estate industry by being the first to provide traditional doorman services remotely. The system is designed to remotely secure the building, greet visitors and provide access, accept deliveries, facilitate maintenance and service calls, and much more, offering increased convenience, heightened security and peace of mind.

Virtual Doorman® has significantly evolved since we established the prototype more than ten years ago. It is the only remote doorman service to offer a Web-based information management system (Web Portal) that streamlines communication between residents, management and Virtual Doorman. The latest version of the Web Portal, launched earlier this month, further enhances the functionality and uniqueness of Virtual Doorman by offering tenants added account management features and streamlined communication with the command center and their building management.


The Virtual Doorman Dealer Program

We have begun the roll-out of our new Authorized Dealer network, enabling qualified security systems integrators and home automation providers to sell, install and service Virtual Doorman systems in exclusive territories in the North America.

Until now, sales and installations of Virtual Doorman systems were primarily handled by Virtual Service and were focused on small to medium-sized multi-family properties in the New York Tri-State Area. The program will appeal to potential dealers because it offers them a great opportunity to grow their businesses by adding revenues not only from sales of Virtual Doorman equipment, but also from monthly recurring revenues paid on their customers’ remote Virtual Doorman monitoring service that is the centerpiece of the system.

Since the recent launch of Virtual Doorman Generation 3, with its simplified hardware and software platforms that are intuitive and easy to install, Virtual Doorman is uniquely positioned to offer dealers an “out of the box” solution for their customers. Systems sold by dealers will be connected to the Virtual Doorman Command Center enabling dealers’ customers to benefit from the proven track record and experience of Virtual Doorman – the pioneer in the industry.

New partnerships offering intercommunication with equipment from video intercom companies such as Aiphone, as well as the new, streamlined hardware and software, mean that Virtual Doorman can be easily integrated by dealers into a building’s intercom system at any time while still giving the appearance of being original to the system, making it ideal for existing buildings as well as new developments.

The program will appeal to new dealers because offering Virtual Doorman to their customers (for up-sell business) and prospects (for generating new sales) enables them to differentiate themselves by being the first to offer Virtual Doorman in their respective markets. Virtual Doorman was created for use in exclusive, high-end properties, and the product has a caché that immediately resonates not only with residents, but also with developers, building owners and management companies. Since Virtual Doorman was the pioneer in the remote/electronic doorman industry and is the recognized leader, the roll-out will limit the number of dealers qualified to offer Virtual Doorman in each market. Sales territories in specific markets will be assigned to qualified dealers on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon application and successful completion of the Virtual Doorman sales and technical training in New York, dealers will become certified.
